Love them or hate them, it is Detroit Tiger baseball season and I am and will always be a Tiger fan.  When I was a teenager in 1968, the names of Kaline, Horton, Lolich, McLain and of course Ernie Harwell made the summer of 1968 magical and even today I still have a smile thinking of the Tigers winning the World Series for the first time since 1945.  Baseball the sport is a great thing, but the nostalgic memories baseball brings to millions of fans over their lifetime is priceless.  So when we scream and holler about the bad things our home team does, just remember how much bigger the game is and that baseball is more than just a sport.  Go Tigers !!
