...on the job

The flower is a spiderwort, and I am not sure if this is a bee, but he is a pollinator and the photo came out just right.  Clicking onto the photo itself will enlarge it in case you didn't know.

Gerber Daisies

Art is the unceasing effort to compete with the beauty of flowers - and never succeeding.
Gian Carlo Menotti

...trying to make sense

Once in awhile, I will  "photo-shop" a photograph, when I think a positive force will come of it.  For example, the top photo for some reason or another just doesn't do much for me as a digital pic, but turning it into a "paint-like" picture seems to bring out the beauty of the flower.  Now the pic with the bumble bee is different.  The flowers came out crystal clear in the original photograph, but alas, the bee lacked a lot of focus.  So what to do?  Again, I photo shopped it with the "painting like" effect and added some clarity to the picture.  Now even if the bee isn't in preferred focus, it really doesn't matter, because a certain amount of "blurriness" is acceptable and expected.  The real point of all of this, is you might take some photos and they may appear to be "duds" and ready to delete, but if you just have the real basic photo shop skills, and mine are minimal to say the least,  you can turn that dud into something worth viewing.  Hope this makes sense.  See ya....jimmy

...emerging and revealing beauty

This is a shrub like bush called a miniature Spirea.  Most of the year it acts like a hedge, but this time of year the petite pink flowers emerge.  Looking at them closely reveals an extraordinary beauty only a camera can capture.  Hope you like the pics.  See ya....jimmy

Catch of the Day

Was out and about today  05.27.2012, and I had the opportunity for some wonderful pics of essentially wild flowers at the U of M Dearborn woods.  Beautiful and lots of shapes and colors.  Hope whoever sees these, likes them as much as I do.  See ya...........jimmy

...SWEETEST THINGS IN LIFE

"The best things in life are nearest: Breath in your nostrils, light in your eyes, flowers at your feet, duties at your hand, the path of right just before you. Then do not grasp at the stars, but do life's plain, common work as it comes, certain that daily duties and daily bread are the sweetest things in life." ~Robert Louis Stevenson
